General Assembly of the Learned Society of Slovakia on December 2, 2025
On December 2, 2025, the General Assembly of the Learned Society of Slovakia (UčSS) was held at the Science Park of Comenius University in Bratislava. The agenda of the General Assembly focused on evaluating the activities of the society in 2025, the ceremonial presentation of diplomas to newly elected members of the Slovak Learned Society, and the election of members and the chair of the UčSS Council for the term from January 1, 2026, to December 31, 2029.
Presentation of diplomas to new members of the UčSS who were elected on October 27, 2025:

The diploma was also presented by the UčSS President to a member of the UčSS elected in the previous year, doc. PhDr. Gabriel Bianchi, DrSc.
This year, the “UčSS Award for Outstanding Interdisciplinary Scientific Output” was awarded to Prof. PhDr. Jozef Bátor, DrSc. for his pioneering work in multidisciplinary archaeology in an international context.
The General Assembly also elected the chair and members of the UčSS Council for the term from January 1, 2026, to December 31, 2029, with the following composition:

The General Assembly concluded with a lecture by UčSS member Prof. RNDr. Vladimír Zeleňák, DrSc., on a topic related to this year’s Nobel Prize in Chemistry in the field of organometallic networks.
